What can one say about Sherry Vine?  She’s a star!  Gorgeous with a beautiful voice.  I remember one night at SqueezeBox when she was dressed in a trench coat and black beret.  She was working a Lauren Hutton look in American Gigolo.  Richard Gere would have wept.

Now, this is a hat!!!

This is my kind of hat- predator and prey on display on the head of a seductive temptress.  All she needs now is what my great aunt used to call a “stroller”- skin furs with the head and legs still attached.  Add those and her outfit would be perfection.  Where is a good taxidermist when you need one.

Faye Dunaway was magical in Mommie Dearest.  Campy yes, but her performance went beyond acting to almost a form of Kabuki.  I could quote lines from this film all day long.

Faye’s career is said to have suffered after this film.  Does anyone remember her TV movie Beverly Hills Madam from 1986?  But, Faye is a true superstar.  Bonnie & Clyde, Network, Barfly, The Eyes of Laura Mars- all triumphs!  She stands heights above today’s paper celebrities…
